UK – Serpent Win FIVE On-Road National Titles in 2017
The best season yet for SERPENT in the UK, with FOUR Nitro and ONE Electric class National Champions in 2017.
Alex Thurston took the 1/10th Nitro 200mm Touring Car National championship without needing to race at the last event. Alex was using the SERPENT 748WC car powered by XRD Engines.
Glyn Beal won the 1/10th Nitro 220mm GT National championship with FIVE wins and FIVE TQ’s achieving the maximum points possible. Glyn was using a SERPENT 748WC car powered by XRD Engines.
Scott Hellawell grabbed the GT8 National Title from Glyn Beal at the last meeting of the season. Scott was using the SERPENT COBRA 3.0 GT car powered by XRD Engines.
Tim Wood after a very busy year, getting married, having a desaturases WC event in France managed to win the last race and took the 1/8th Nitro National championship title back from fellow Serpent driver Mark Green. Tim finished the season with the new SERPENT 988 car powered by XRD Engines.
Alex Thurston also took the 1/8th Electric National championship title again with maximum points FIVE wins and FIVE TQ’s. He was driving the SERPENT 977e EVO2 car, Hobbywing electrics and ARROWMAX lipo’s. The top three drivers in this class were all driving the SERPENT 977e EVO2 car. Craig Woods 2nd and Jaime Patton 3rd.
In 1/10th Electric Touring car Chris Clarke was 8 overall in the National championships using the SERPENT Project 4X car.
