After qualifications round, Richi Gomez (Kyosho/Reds/AKA) was TQ’d followed by Alberto Garcia (Serpent/RB/Proline) and Daniel Pariente (Agama/Orion/VPro).
There was not any huge surprise during semi finals and all top drivers came into the 45minutes main final.
For the first minutes of the exciting final, Alberto García took the leadership in front of Juanma Guillen (Xray/OS/AKA) who started the race from #1. Following Garcia, Javi Pombo (Mugen/Nova/ProCircuit) and Guillen were fighting for the second place, while Gomez and Pariente, with some mistakes in the first laps, were trying to bump positions up.
On the other hand, 12years-old Serpent driver, Oscar Navarro, who qualified 8th and started the main final from the #6 had problems with his Lipo battery, losing his chances to get a podium place.
Around 25minutes to go, Garcia got a comfortable gap from the rest of the drivers with Gomez and Guillen were behind the leader. Bad luck for García when he had to change his unglued tyres in two times, first front tyres, and after some minutes, the rear ones…
Gomez took the leadership followed by Guillen, with García comeback to the race in last positions,
With 15 minutes to go, Kyosho driver Gomez broke a front arm and had to be retired, giving the leadership to Guillen, being second Javi Pombo, followed by Dani Pariente.
Guillen was able to manage the gap to the end of the race, winning the first round of the championship, followed by Javi Pombo, and Alberto García, who got a podium place after changing his full set of tyres.
