FTT 4th race in Kuusankoski, Finland Date: 26th of May Class: 1:10 modified Drivers: 20

Trainings:

There were 2 training rounds. Track was fast, but slippery. Car was working almost fine, back end was little bit too slippery, but it got better to qualifiers.

Qualifiers System: Points, 2 out of 4

I was in quite fast group, so driving was quite comfortable. In qualifiers, car was really great and quite fast, so after 2 rounds I was 7^th. Then in 3^rd and 4^th qual, some guys had great runs and after qualifiers I was 9^th, so I was in A-main. We were really happy to be in A-main, because it’s 1^st time to us to be there at FTT race.

Finals:

All the finals were quite same, and it was kind a sad. I had good start in all finals, but every time somebody drove me out, and nobody got any penalties, so we had speed and few good battles, but we didn’t have any of luck  Overall: 10^th place in the A-main.

Finnish Gas Nationals 1^st race

Date: 27^th of May Location: Kuusankoski, Finland Class: 1/10 nitro touring Drivers: 18

It was our 1^st race with Serpent’s nitro car, and 2^nd race with nitro touring car, so, we didn’t know what to expect 

2 rounds of trainings:

Weather was quite cold in the mornings, so we took quite soft tires. Car was working really well, steering was perfect and grip was also really good. I did 6^th lap time in the trainings so car was fast also 

Qualifications, system: best time of the day, 4 rounds

1^st qual was great, clean driving, no mistakes, car was great as I said before and I did 2^nd time of the day  Everything was going really well

2^nd qual: I improved little bit and still had 2^nd time of the day, about 6 seconds to 1^st place.

3^rd qual: We tested harder tires to and it was slower, but I wanted to get used to semi-final tires, so it was worth it 

4^th qual: Again I drove with harder tires and time was quite same as in the 2^nd qual

In the 4^th qualifier, some guys had good run and I fell few places down. So, 5^th place after quals, 3^rd starting position in semi final.

Semifinal, 5 cars bumped, length: 20 minutes:

Start was great, I stayed 3^rd and first 5 cars had huge lead. After first pits and some battles with 4^th place guy, I was still 3^rd and after 10 minutes, car didn’t turn anymore. Dad run to get the car, and saw that the servo horn is broken. He repaired it, but it took 6 laps. So, I was back at the track and at the 7^th place, about 3 laps to 5^th place. I pushed as hard as I could and in finished 7^th, 1 lap to 5^th place. We had such a great chance to be in the final, and that kind of thing broke up. It was quite sad, but still, we were happy also, because car was working really great and driving was quite fast.
