4th swiss championship at lostallo

Saturday morning we had 2x 15minuts time of practice for each category. At this time we drove the layout like on the world championship 2009.

Than we had 4 qualifications. At the first heat my S966 felt strange, we could not find a good set up and the practice was to less in the morning, so I used the qualification for practice… my dad was quiet fast with his new S747.

After 4 Rounds of qualification I was at 10th Position. Klaus was at 4th place.

I think that was OK, and we can be happy with our result. I made some tests with my hot race tyres and pipes (HIPEX and OS).

Klaus was using his PICCO modified by EDO and also hot race tyres of carbon rims.

On Sunday we had again control practice because we had no 1/8 finals… and there we could test again 2x 15 minutes

Before lunch time started was the ½ final of Klaus. He had a perfect start and after the first corner he was the leader, but than his 1st Gear broke. I rebuild it immediately but after few laps the car stoppend again, we had problems with the rear belt… He just ended the race at 7th place, NO FINAL FOR KLAUS!!!!

My semifinal B was after the lunch time. I started from 5th place. And I was immediately on 3rd position. After 20 minutes of Race Silvio Hächler won in front of Mattia Pesenti, Sabrina Lechner, Remy Hasler, Christoph Pethoud und Luca Martinelli.

FINAL:

We started at 16:30 with our Expert final – 45 minutes of race. (means 11 fuel tank stops and 1 stop for a Tyres change) thats a long time… I started again from 5th place, that was my lucky number over the weekend Silvio was from beginning the leader, he was super fast! Behind him Simon and Mattia. After few corners I was at 7th place, because I had to do slower with my tyres, I started with 78mm and in the first few laps it was difficult to drive fast. But Silvio got some problems with his servo… Than Marco’s engine stopped! I was almost on 5th place.

The leader was Simon; behind Mattia in the same lap. I was already on 3th place but I had only 10 seconds lead of the 4th place. And we were all together in the same lap until the 6th place. So it was a very interesting final.

But 30 seconds before the end of the final stopped the engine from Simon… Mattia took the first position, second was still Simon. And I finish after 45 minutes with a happy 3rd Place.
