I met my friends in Ankara Friday morning, to start our trip to Bursa Bumod, where the race would be held. They were drifters and would like to see some real racing so we had full of fun during the weekend. After arriving at the track, I immediately started to break in my new Xceed DS-5 engine. The engine turned out to be a missile, very fast and stable, and also making 5 minutes on this full speed track with Hipex exhaust, but it was little too sensitive carburetor adjustment. My 747 was just like before, very fast and stable, with wide sweetspot.

The weather was very hot with reaching 38 Celcius air temperature, and it was a real test for both cars and engines. We also decided to run the race with reverse direction on the track, which was never applied. After playing with the setup to find little more steering, my car was good to go on this very dirty and low traction. I TQ ed 10 minute qualifiers on saturday and rebuilt my car at that night for sunday final.

Main final was relaxed for me. I quickly lapped entire field in first 5 minutes, when other drivers were having incidents. Then I continued to open the gap slowly. After some time, both 2nd and 3rd place had technichal problems which caused them to lose more precious times. I even had an engine cut off at pitstop, because my idle was set too low. My mechanic had trouble to fit the car to the starterbox, forcing me lose 3 laps, but I was still in the lead!
At the end of 45 minutes, I cruised to victory with a massive 11 lap gap over 2nd place.

In main final, 6 Serpent cars were present, taking 1st(me), and 3rd(Atınç Atalay) on podium. 2nd place driver Erol Uçar quickly switched to Xceed engine after having problems with his old engines in qualifying. He broke in the engine sunday morning just before the race, proving how easy it is to break in and make the engine ready to race.
