Chris reports on this race with Serpent S120-LTX:

We had out 3rd 12th scale national last weekend.  I had a reasonably good result both days.

Saturday was Stock (10.5 blinky) and I qualified 2nd and finished 2nd, behind Mr Stiles!  Unfortunately I used the wrong additive in the fastest qualifying round so didn’t quite get TQ.  The final was a really close affair and I got alongside him 3 times, but couldn’t make a move stick so had to settle for 2nd.

Sunday (Mod) qualifying was more successful, I managed to TQ in what was a very close qualifying.  1st to 3rd was split by 1.7seconds!  Unfortunately I clipped a corner in the final which let Mark past and then I was collected by a back marker which ended my chances of battling for the lead.  We had enough of a gap to 3rd that 2nd was still comfortable.

This means that I am now leading both Stock and Mod championships, even though I’ve not managed to win a meeting yet!

The other guys running the LTX were all happy with the car once again.  We are all running the car with the LiPo across the back of the car to gain steering, with the more stable rear geometry this once again seems to be the fastest way to set the car up.
