here is my EOS report.
Last weekend was Round 2 of the EOS series in Poland. The race was held inside a big motor show, lots of visitors over the 3 days.
In 4wd I ran the new Spyder SDX4 shaftdrive 1/10 buggy , in 2wd the proto Spyder SDX2 shaftdrive buggy and in ST the proto Spyder SDX2 ST
Practice started out good, but we needed to find a little more corner speed in 2WD and 4WD. We made some small changes to the cars and I got a 7th in Q1 and 4th in Q2 in 4WD. Which put me in the A-main.
Saturday and it was 2WD time, 4 Rounds of qualifying, followed by triple A-mains. Round 1 was a run to forget, just to many mistakes. After that I got the SDX2 Prototype perfect for the track. I got two 3rd places in Q2 and Q3 and a 2nd place in Q4.
Overall I was 4th, I knew my pace was good for a top 3 finish, but unfortunatly the mains were super unlucky for me. After couple corners I found myself at the back of the pack. I could fight my way back a couple positions, but overall better than 8th was not possible. It was disappointing as my package was much better then this, in one of the finals I could even set the fastest laptime. We are definitly improving.
Now on to 4WD and Stadium Truck. 2 more Rounds of qualifying on Sunday, then triple A-mains. I was 2nd in Truck after a close battle with Hupo in all qualifications. and 8th in 4WD. 4WD was another hard time in the finals, overall I got 7th. In Truck I finished 3rd in A1, 1st in A2 and 3rd again in A3. A3 was a super nice battle between Hupo and me, I followed him closly around the track. Just a few laps before the end Hupo made a small mistake at the corner table, but I couldnt go around him and got collected as well. After that I tried a move, but I hit him slightly. I waited and let him go again. I finished 3rd which was enough to secure 2nd overall.
Now a few months break in 1/10 offroad until Round 3 at the Hudy Arena in February and more testing in between.
End of november I race the big international 1/8 offroad race in Malaysia with Cobra SRX8 !
