UK SERPENT 977 EVO win in both classes at the Adur Racetrack
Last weekend was round 3 of the British National Championship for 1-8 Nitro and 1-8 Electric. The weather was good and the track was well prepared by the local club. The Adur track is the smallest and the most technical of the track we have in the UK. The lap time were below 15 seconds in practice with Mark Green fastest for Nitro and Alex Thurston with Electric.
Sunday race day:- due to heavy overnight rain the track was wet for the practice and the first round of qualifying. Round 2,3 and 4 was dry and at the end of qualifying Mark Green’s XRD powered 977 EVO2 took TQ in Nitro and Alex Thurston Hobbywing powered 977e EVO2 took TQ in Electric.
The A Nitro final was won by Tim Wood using his XRD powered Serpent 977 EVO2 after a hard race with Mark Green and David Spashett, Tim was help by the fast refueling work by his mechanic Nicola.
A Final Electric was won by Alex Thurston using the latest 977e EVO2 with Gavin Clinch second.

Thanks to the Adur club for a good event, the next meeting will be at the Mendip Raceway 10 – 11 June.
