Race Report Pattaya ChallengeJust a week ago I attended a race in Thailand at the famous Pattaya track. Host of the 2010 Ifmar World Championships. I was running the Serpent Cobra SRX8.
The race started on Friday with free practice and the track was tough, dusty and the lane was where you had traction was narrow. I tried a couple different Proline tires and ended up on Proline Blockade’s. After free practice there were 2 Rounds of controlled practice for reseeding for the qualification groups on Saturday.
4 Rounds of 10min qualifying on Saturday and 1 more Round on Sunday I was able to TQ Round 1,3 and a 5th place in Round 4. Overall this gave me the Pole Position for the 60min main final.
Luckily the rain stayed away and we had a dry finals day. I had an ok start, but quickly was back into the lead at the first pit stop and build a comfortable lead. Everything worked very good and I took the win by 3 laps.
