Middle swedish cup round 5
Final at MSK Kvarnvingarna i Mjölby
We had rain in the nigt so the track was very wet. The practice was delayed and one round was deleted. Practise went good. We found a good setup till the qualification. It went okay and I finished 7th in the first round. We made changes into the 2nd and 3rd (swaybar 3mm and tyres) round and we sat the fastest qualification run, and that made me 2nd in qualification.
Before we came to this track we changed the setup compared to the last time. We changed to harder springs and thicker oil in chocks and thinner diff oils.
The track was drying up and was smooth. In the semi I had car 1 and made a good and cleen start, I was consistent and finnished 2nd.
I was starting at P3 for the A final. I made a good start and after one lap I was in the lead. Now I was in my pace and pulled away from the rest, I had a lead with 15 seconds at the most. Top 5 cars were all in 15-25 second gap. Then wen it was 5 minutes left I flipped the car and Per past me so I was in 2nd place. I tried to push hard to pass him but he was very consistent. He won with 3 seconds and I finnished 2nd. To win the whole cup I had to come 2 places better then Jessica Pålsson, she was in 3rd when Micke Svensson past her only 3 minutes left in the final so she came in 4th place. And I was the champion/winner of the MSC CUP 2017. It was a tight and still race/cup with many of the best drivers in Sweden.
I was happy about my pace and consistency and the amazing Serpent SRX 8, powerd with Bullit B220 and Sweep racing tyres.
