ROAR Fuel On-Road Nationals June 8-14, 2010
Lincoln, Nebraska U.S.A.
What a week! This year’s ROAR National Championship was definitely one of a kind. Let’s see…… first major race with our Serpent cars. First time at the Lincoln track. First time I ever raced both 1/8 and 1/10 at the same race. Only the second time I’d driven the 966. Crazy weather patterns that had us at the track for roughly 14 hours each day! It was for sure a very draining event for Rich Browne, Jim Adkins, Rick Davis, and me…but, in the end, we learned a lot, had a great time with friends old and new, and finished the weekend with some very good results! Swedish National Cup R2, Örebro 19-20:th of June
The Örebro track is a huge and very fast track, grip was pretty good and tirewear quite high.
We had dry conditions during the race, 18-20 degree, both before and after the race the rain was heavy! This time we got lucky!
Great race for 16 year young driver Tobias Hepp as the recent race in Düren, Germany.
Superb qualifying on his home track by Tobias, lead to a TQ in both 1/8 and 1/10
“It took place this weekend at Monsanto’s track the 4th national championship race 1/10 and 1/8.
João Malveiro with is Serpent 733/Mega/Xceed Tires / Xceed Fuel finished the qualifying heats in 5th place showing a steady but quick pace thinking in the semi and final. In its semi after beginning a more secure pace, Malveiro went forward and finished with two more laps than 2nd. In the final Malveiro was always with a good pace but a hit involving another driver made him lose some time, finishing a good fourth place three laps behind the winner. Fernando Dantas who made his debut with a Serpent 733/Mega/Xceed Tires / Xceed Fuel just got his car ready on Friday night, managed to get a good setup for the car but had some problems in the heats, having to drive the ¼, was always in a qualifying position till 2 minutes of the end when a mechanical problem forcing him to retire.
Saturday we had not much practice time because of rain showers, I bearley had some time to run-in a new engine but just managed. Changed some minor setup changes since last GP in Apeldoon, but changed back to Serpent Off-set because it seemed to work better on this track! about 0,3 secs faster per lap!
