2012 Serpent Korea On Road Race.

2012 season opener on road race took place in Kirina circuit last weekend.

It rained all day on Friday and the rain changed into snow and the wind was rising on Saturday morning. It was the really bad weather for the on road race.

But, fortunately, the snow finally stopped and we could proceed the race.

All participants helped to clean up the track and lots of Coke was sprayed on the track for the good grip.

The race began by the 1/10 electric stock cars. In the three 5 minute qualifying heats, Mr.Lee In Seop took the TQ and the final race was continued along the same lines as the qualifying heats.

In the three 10 minutes qualifying heats of 1/10 engine touring sport class, Mr.Ryu Jae Ho took the TQ.

In the 20 minutes final race, 3 of Serpent 733 drivers were included and Mr.Ryu Jae Ho won the race.

In the three 10 minutes qualifying heats of 1/10 engine touring pro class, Mr. Ahn Hyun Ho took the TQ.

In the 30 minutes final race, 2 of Serpent 733 drivers were included.

2nd : Oh Sae Yong

3rd : Lee Sang Ho

The largest participants competed in the 1/8 pure racing class. They were divided into 3 groups and competing fiercely to get the A-main tickets.

In the three 10 minutes qualifying heats of this class, Mr. Park Dong Joo took the TQ.

In the 40 minutes A-main final race, 4 of Serpent 966 drivers were included and Mr.Kim Kyung Tae went to up to the 3rd podium.

Hello everyone!

23-24-25  March was the first race of the Italian championship in Milazzo, Sicily with over 100 participants.

On Friday evening we held the first round of qualifying by 10 minutes, which gave us in pole position despite once did in two full heats unlike the others who were only one, besides the pole we have also created the new world record for the track well of 4/10 faster than ever before.

Saturday morning, the other three qualifications that they see the other fast Serpent, to go to Giuseppe Musolino on pole!  Musolino is going really well, he could just do a full heat in allowing him to top in the standings, along with Daniel Ielasi himself on a single tank.

The finalists were direct  after qualifying Musolino (Serpent) -Ielasi-Mazzeo (Serpent) -Pietsch.

Sunday afternoon, just before the final, unfortunately the rain came and influenced the final results. The race was very hard only someone was prepared for the race “wet” others like me, you are limited only to mount the rain tires;

Strategy that was proving to do good enough to take me twenty minutes of the race, then the track went to dry and also made us go back to third position, still very good result and that is fine too.  Tq-man Musolino was unfortunate after  8 laps with electronic problems. Really wonderful weekend where the car has really proven to be fast in qualify condition. The race was not easy, all top-drivers present, this makes us very proud of the result in both qualifying and the race.

We were the fastest on the track as well as the most consistent,we had no problems whatsoever.  For Musolino was his first race-experience with a Serpent, he was really impressed of the performance and reliability.

I close by thanking my father, Sprint rc, and the Max Power Runner Time for supporting me in this first round of the Italian league, we are very confident for this season, the start was great, we hope to finish better.

Team Serpent

Hey guys,

this weekend we were again in Italy for a Motonica Trophy. But this time we were in Melzo.

It is a really nice fast and technical track.   100% concentration is still not enough.

Like in Fiorano start the the race with free practice on Saturday. Around noon the first heat starts. On Saturday were two heats and on Sunday also two heats and the finas. The C final took 20 minutes and the other finals took 30 minutes.

After the qualifications Sabrina start at 5^th position in the A final 1:8. Klaus start from 5^thposition in the B final 1:10 and Franziska start from 10^th position in the B final 1:8.

Klaus start was a good start he was imediatey at 3th position. After 10 minutes he took the second place which he kept till the end.

Franziskas final was not so good after some mistakes she was on 7^th position and end up at 5^th place.

The final from Sabrina was from the begining till the end a breathless race. The start was really good and she was soon between second and 3th position. All 30 minutes Sabrina fight with Stefano Pregnolato and Comoglio Emanuele for the second and 3^th place. In the last 8 minutes it start a little to rain and from the fast race it went to a slow funny race. All cars were drivting and the driver need a lot of feeling to control the car and keep the car on the track.

After 30 minutes final Sabrina end up at 4^th position.

Malaysia: 6 Serpent drivers in the A Main final – 3 being top 5

Event was in conjunction with the soft opening off the DBKL international RC circuit also to welcome the F1 event in Sepang Malaysia this 24^th & 25^th, DBKL INT RC circuit is the biggest and most equipped facilities track in Malaysia.

The event was a bit of a rush where 2weeks notice only given to the organizer, due to this only smaller numbers of participant participating the event, but it still manage to attract nearby Singaporean and Thailand racer to join in the fun, Singapore distributor Mr. Pason with the gang was around, as well Thailand big names Mr. Meen & Mr. Charlie P and etc.

On the weekend of February 25-26, the annual RCWorld cup took place in Madrid. This was the third time the RCWorld cup has been celebrated, being the first big race of the Spanish touring car season, having always a good amount of racers including some top Spanish drivers.

Team Serpent was looking forward to achieve some good results in the race as it had Victor Pelaez, Hugo Santos and Rodrigo Pahissa who has joined serpent spain for the present season, being all three contenders to win this race and this years nationals.  The race begun on Saturday with three rounds of qualification, having a fourth one on Sunday morning. Serpent drivers Victor Pelaez and Hugo Santos were looking confident and consistent on their driving, while Rodrigo was struggling with technical problems, which were solved for the last round on Sunday were he actually achieved the pole position. After the qualification team serpent was looking very good for the final, having both Victor and Rodrigo as direct qualifiers and with Hugo on the semis. Hugo made to the final after a superb drive on the semi.

Once on the final, from the beginning it could be seen how Rodrigo, Victor and Iñaki Pahissa  were the strongest. However, after some problems coming from Victor and Iñaki, Rodrigo claimed his first victory with Serpent on his first race, which certainly gives him and all team serpent a great amount of confidence looking forward for the season.Final result:

Hey guys,

this weekend it was again time, time for the first race after the winter brake in Fiorano.

And again Angelo organised a fanastic race.

With 30 driver 1:10 and 40 driver 1:8 the track was nearly filled up. A lot of big italian names were there like Tironi, Balestri, Picco, Colari, Romagnoli, the Salemi brother, Lorenzi, Tedeschi and way more.

We start on saturday morning with the free practice always 15 minutes 1:8 and than 15 minutes 1:10. At 14 o´clock the first heat started. On saturday were two heats and on sunday the last two heats with the finals. Every heat took 7 minutes and all finals 30 minutes.

After the qualification Colari had the pole position in 1:8

So i start in the C final 1:10 from the 4^th place. After 10 minutes race i am the leeder and hold this place. Three minutes before the end my engine flamed out and i end up at the 3^thplace.

Franziska raced in the C final 1:8 she start from the 5^th place and and end up at the second place.

Than Sabrinas final start. 1:8 B. After one time out because of her bad clutch she start out of the pit two laps later.  This residue she couldn´t catch so she finish the race at 6^th place.

But also Klaus didn´t had good luck. He start in the B final 1:10 at 3th place and soon he was at second place. But after the second gear brake the second time he stop racing and end up at 7^th positon.

The winner of the A final in 1:8 is Salemi Walter than Alberto Picco and Tedeschi Alberto (S966).

The soon to be released Serpent 747, the successor of the Serpent 733 platform, is being final-tested at a track in Florida, USA.

The Serpent 747 has been shown at the 2012 German Toyfaiur, and will be introduced to the market early april 2012.

Designer Michael Salven is running the 747,   as well as Team Driver Mark Green from UK and Team Driver  Paolo Morganti from  USA.    Serpent project/sales manager Stef Helvensteijn is present as mechanic.

Over a period of 5 days the car will be intensively tested and some final  parts  to be decided upon.  See some images below.   More details on the 747 to follow later.
